Chelsea Physic Garden

The Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in 1673 by the Society of Apothecaries to study the therapeutic properties of plants. Displays include plants used in present day pharmaceuticals and a Garden of World Medicine showing the use of plants by indigenous peoples. In addition there are many rare plants and a rock garden from 1773.
